The Case of Mice and Bright Burning Things
Graphic Design Book Making Laser CUtting
This piece is an experimental book project that blurs the line between object and narrative. Words are printed on the outer surface, but the pages are permanently sealed shut—only partially legible through intricate laser-cut patterns. To read it, you must engage physically and visually, peering through layers of light and shadow. This forced interaction invites deeper contemplation and challenges conventional reading. Drawing from my industrial background, I brought fabrication techniques like laser cutting into the realm of graphic design, transforming the book into both a tactile artifact and a conceptual experience.
