Play dives into the idea of finding creativity as an adult. In childhood, the whole world is a magical place filled with possibilities and potential. As an adult, creativity is not something that disappears but is a skill that slowly fades away because adults do not use it on a daily basis. The idea of failure and not being curious makes most adults lose that imaginative skill. This skill can be brought back with the power of curiosity and not being afraid to fail. Anyone can create at any stage of their lives, whether or not there is enough fuel for curiosity is the determining factor.

Color, reflection/projection, and immersive experience have been important themes for Play. Color has been the most prevalent factor in decision making for this piece. We go from children's hospitals that have colorful murals and fun chairs to an adult hospital that is bland with beige walls and no color in sight. Color can play with our moods so if we are only surrounded by muted, beige colors, will creativity ever truly spark? Reflection/projection with color to create an immersive experience is Play. A ray of light shining through an object as one thing and translating into something else is magical to the eye. Play shows the importance of creativity across all stages of life, encouraging everyone to embrace curiosity, not be afraid of failure, and rediscover the power of imagination that truly has no age limit.
